General Dentistry

Comprehensive General Dentistry

General dentistry is the foundation of long-term oral health. We focus on prevention, early diagnosis, and careful restorative care—so small concerns are addressed before they become complex.

From exams and cleanings to fillings, crowns, bridges, and gum care, our goal is to keep your mouth healthy and stable over time—with clear guidance at every step.

Your visit is designed to be thorough and clear. We explain findings, review options, and recommend treatment only when it’s clinically appropriate.

Your First Visit: What to Expect

We set aside dedicated time for new patients so we never have to rush.

1

The Conversation

Before we look at your teeth, we listen. We discuss your history, anxieties, and goals in a comfortable setting.

2

The Diagnostics

When clinically indicated, we take digital X-rays and may use intraoral photos to help you understand what we’re seeing.

3

The Plan

No pressure. We categorize treatments into "Urgent," "Essential," and "Optional" so you stay in control.

General Dentistry Services

General dentistry includes routine prevention, early diagnosis, and restorative care. Use the arrows or swipe to explore our services.

🩻

Exams & Digital X-Rays

Your exam includes a review of teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work. When clinically indicated, digital X-rays help us evaluate areas not visible during a visual exam—such as between teeth, around roots, and bone levels.

🪥

Professional Cleanings

Professional cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas and help reduce gum inflammation. Your hygienist will also review home-care techniques and recommend tools or routines based on your needs.

🦷

Gum Health (Periodontal Care)

Healthy gums support healthy teeth. If we detect gum disease, we may recommend periodontal therapy such as deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) when clinically indicated to help reduce bleeding and inflammation.

🧩

Fillings

Fillings restore teeth affected by decay or minor damage. We use modern tooth-coloured composite materials designed to blend naturally with your tooth, preserving as much healthy structure as possible.

👑

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns protect weakened teeth, while bridges replace missing ones. Each case is planned for fit, bite balance, function, and a natural appearance to restore your smile’s integrity.

⚕️

Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth is infected or abscessed, root canal therapy removes the damaged pulp to stop pain and save the natural tooth. This procedure relieves discomfort and prevents the need for extraction.

🩹

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth cannot be saved or is causing harm, we perform safe, gentle extractions. We focus on your comfort during the procedure and provide clear guidance for a smooth recovery.

Hygiene & Preventive Care

Even with good brushing and flossing, plaque can build up in areas that are difficult to reach. Professional hygiene appointments remove hardened buildup, support gum health, and help keep cavities and inflammation from progressing quietly.

Restorative Dentistry (When Needed)

When a tooth is affected by decay, cracks, or wear, we restore comfort and function using modern materials and a conservative approach. We focus on durable results that protect the tooth and support a stable bite—while preserving as much healthy structure as possible.

  • Tooth-coloured composite fillings
  • Bonding for chips and minor cracks
  • Crowns to protect weakened teeth
  • Bridges to replace missing teeth (case-dependent)

Beyond the Basics

General dentistry is more than just cleanings and fillings. We monitor the health of your gums, jaw function, bite, and soft tissues—because long-term oral health depends on the whole system.

💤

Nightguards for Grinding

Do you wake up with jaw pain or headaches? Custom-fitted nightguards protect your teeth from the damaging effects of nocturnal grinding (bruxism).

🩺

Gum Disease Therapy

We treat the foundation. If we detect periodontal disease, we offer non-surgical therapy (deep cleaning) to halt infection and preserve bone.

🔍

Oral Cancer Screening

Early detection is key. We include a soft-tissue screening as part of routine exams to check for abnormalities.

🛡️

Sports Guards

Protecting smiles on the field. We fabricate custom athletic mouthguards that offer superior protection and breathability compared to store-bought options.

Your Exam, Explained

01

Clinical Assessment

We perform a comprehensive evaluation of teeth, periodontal health, and bite function using magnification and direct visual exam to identify issues early.

02

Diagnostic Imaging

When clinically indicated, we utilize digital X-rays and intraoral photos to detect issues not visible to the naked eye.

03

Treatment Planning

We present findings clearly, distinguishing between active disease requiring intervention and areas to monitor. Decisions are made collaboratively.

Professional Cleanings & Gum Health

Professional cleanings help remove tartar buildup and reduce gum inflammation—especially below the gumline and between teeth. If deeper deposits are present, periodontal therapy may be recommended when clinically indicated. (Images are for illustration.)

Common Patient Questions

We work with many major insurance plans and can provide direct billing when available. Coverage varies by provider and plan; our team can help you understand what to expect before treatment.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit typically includes a review of your health history, an exam of teeth and gums, and any necessary diagnostic records (such as digital X-rays). We’ll discuss findings, priorities, and next steps clearly—without rushing.
I’m nervous about the dentist. Can you help?
Yes. Let us know when booking so we can plan a calmer visit. We can pace treatment, take breaks, and discuss comfort measures that may be appropriate for your needs.
